If you and up to 5 other friends are wanting to get away from it all and need a place to call home after a day of fun in the Smokies…the Smokies Vacation Getaway is the place to do just that. No cell phones or Internet service, no shopping malls or theaters…only peace and quiet. If you decide to go out and don't want to go far, Abrams Creek is just a mile or so away and has trails that connect to Cades Cove and the rest of the park. I wanted to dedicate this business in loving memory to my husband’s mom and dad; it will always be home away from home to us. They loved company, and “folks” were always welcome. He was a park ranger well known for his tracking skills both to the Park Service and the FBI, because of his expertise and help in tracking down an FBI Top Ten Most Wanted List escaped murderer, he was presented an Congressional Medal Of Valor by the U.S. Department of Interior. In honor of their memory, we'd like to echo their hospitality and also try to make all of our guests feel right at home.
Smokies Vacation Getaway offers:
- Three bedrooms (2 queen-sized beds and 1 full-sized).
- Two full baths (we supply towels and linens).
- Fully equipped kitchen.
- Washer and dryer.
- Satellite TV.
- Fireplace.
- Considerable basement.
- Screened-in back porch with attached deck.
- Pre-built stone-ringed fire-pit with a limited amount of firewood.
- Designated campfire area/camping permitted (unless extreme dry weather occurs).
- Parking garage for motorcycles with cleaning rags.
- Minimal supply of linens and towels.
- Minimal supply of trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels.
